Fall 2024 Opening – Central City Stompers

SSILL started out the 2024 fall season by welcoming back the Central City Stompers.  The SSILL membership enjoyed listening to some fun jazz tunes on the morning of September 3rd.  Their sound was very upbeat and fun for all. The turnout was great.

One member exclaimed “So enjoyable, I was dancing in my seat”!

The Stompers play classic jazz tunes from the first half of the 20th century, including blues and some ragtime, with some New Orleans style music that just adds to the listening pleasure.  The Stompers originated in New Haven more than twenty years ago and travel around the state to various venues.  They will be playing at the Durham fair this year.
