On Friday, March 28th we were privileged to hear three brilliant speakers from the Yale Medical School. They were Erin Stockwell, MD, Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon, Philip Ratnasamy, MD/MBA Candidate, and Gwyneth Maloy, MD Candidate.
Their topic was orthopedic injuries, their treatment and prevention ranging from fractures to arthritis, to spine and shoulder health.Using very clear slides, the speakers discussed the pathology of arthritis, knee replacements, hip replacements rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel issues, and back and spine problems.
The audience presented questions about trigger finger, stenosis and other orthopedic problems and our speakers graciously answered with clear explanations.Evaluations were glowing. Comments included remarks such as “Best Presentation Ever”, “Excellent Speakers”, “Made the subject Very Easy to Understand”.
Fortunately for SSILL, the speakers will return for a deeper dive into orthopedic Injuries on Friday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Woods.
The talk was hosted by SSILL and our partners at Evergreen Woods who provided coffee and a delicious buffet of cheese, crackers, vegetables, and pastries. We are grateful to Evergreen Woods.
