Spring Semester Starts March 5th
Our Spring semester is ready to kick off! Our Open House and first program are March 5th. at 10:00 a.m. at the Guilford Community Center. Come a little early and enjoy a cup of coffee. If you haven’t joined SSILL yet, it’s not too late.
Talk to people you know who also crave intellectual stimulation and wholesome conversations and don’t know where to turn. Spread the SSILL story. Registration is ongoing and remains open throughout the semester.
Do you know someone who is craving learning something new and wants to socialize a little with other Adult Learners? Encourage them to join SSILL or even better, purchase a SSILL Gift Certificate for them. Gift Certificates are available at the GCC office.
Opening Day Reception and Concert
We are excited, and fortunate, to have the Shoreline Jazz Quintet, or SJQ, join us at our Open House. They will be playing selections from their wide repertoire. The Band’s leader, Dr. Deepak Cyril D’Souza, a Physician Scientist at Yale, plays the alto and soprano saxophones. He will be joined by other outstanding musicians, with very impressive resumes, on drums, jazz guitar, bass, and vibraphone. A special shoutout to our Program Committee, chaired by Susan Smith, who have put together a wonderful lineup of programs and trips. They have selected topics that will interest you, challenge you, and broaden your horizons.
