The Shoreline Jazz Quintet
On March 5th, SSILL presented the “Shoreline Jazz Quintet” (SJQ) for the opening day program. The musicians and their music were very much enjoyed by the audience in attendance. SSILL was very excited to start off the semester with such an uplifting lively event.
The Quintet plays both classic jazz as well as contemporary jazz. The band features Mike Bimonte on drums, Deepak Cyril D’Souza on saxophones, Rich Meyers on vibraphone, Steve Roane on bass, and Steve Wood on guitar. SJQ performs at many venues all along the Shoreline. If you have not had the pleasure to see them yet, you can find them on Facebook to get a list of their upcoming concerts.
One SSILL member exclaimed “Very enjoyable, excellent quality”. Another member said “Love the music, excellent musicians”. The Quintet plays both classic jazz as well as contemporary jazz.
