Looking Back, Looking Ahead

July 2024

Our Spring semester offered so many opportunities to learn something new, to hear beautiful music, to participate in a book discussion, take a trip, and so much more. Our trip to Kiwi Roots Farm was so popular we scheduled it twice!  And everyone agrees that the luncheon prepared by Sanctuary Kitchen was a great gastronomical success.

We are very excited about our Fall semester!  We are planning trips to exciting places. Join us to visit the newly renovated Peabody Museum, to explore  two historic homes in Wethersfield, to see Public Art in New Haven and don’t miss the chance to participate in a docent led tour of the New Britain Museum of American Art.  We’re excited, too, about our revered speakers who have agreed to share their knowledge with us.

Our catalogue will be in your mailbox in mid-August and will be available at our area shoreline libraries, the Guilford Community Center and the Madison Senior Center.  Our updated website will be available then, too. Remember, our catalogue gives only a brief description of our offerings.  Visit ssill.org, for more detailed information.

Registration begins on August 28th on-line through our website ssill.org and in person at 8:30 a.m. and continues throughout the semester.  In-person registration is available only at the Guilford Community Center.

Opening Day for the semester is Tuesday, September 3rd at 9:30 a.m. at the Guilford Community Center.  Central City Stompers will be there to share their foot tapping music!

We look forward to seeing everyone!
