What is Intellectual Property?
Presenter: Ethan Horwitz, Attorney
Ethan Horwitz, Attorney
On May 14th Ethan Horwitz shared intriguing case studies to clearly explain patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
We were mesmerized while listening to the speaker’s experiences in Intellectual Property law. He described his case representing Oscar Mayer, defending its Lunchables product against Sara Lee. In a false advertising case, Ethan represented Kraft’s Jell-O gelatin and stopped Del Monte from calling its product “Gelatin Snacks”. In another case, his client, Colgate, was accused of copying Proctor & Gambel’s advertising for Crest toothpaste. Ethan won all these cases.
Ethan Horwitz is listed as one of the top 50 trial lawyers in the United States and has over 25 years as a first chair and appellate lawyer across the full range of Intellectual Property law. If you missed this talk, hopefully he will return, and you will have the opportunity to learn much more on a subject you might have once thought was boring. You’ll change your mind!
