The speaker is the Director of the Standardized Patient and Assessment Center at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. She has twelve years of experience in medical education teaching future doctors and health care providers how to communicate with patients.
Program Description
Health Care has changed! Patients can no longer just show up for a medical visit. They must be prepared and engaged to receive the best care possible. In response to members’ requests, Gabby returns to present a more in-depth discussion of how to make your doctors’ visits productive. She will help listeners feel more empowered to ask questions and provide a framework for organizing a medical visit in the limited time we have with our medical providers.

Chief Mahoney is a thirty-two-year veteran of the Fire Service and the ninth Chief to lead the Branford Fire Department. He is a certified deputy Fire Marshal with experience in code enforcement, prevention, and fire investigation, working for the communities of Branford, Madison, and Old Saybrook.

Carl Zimmer is a columnist for the New York Times and the author of fifteen books about science. He teaches writing at Yale University and lives in Guilford.

In 2020, the discovery that COVID is air-borne made many people truly appreciate the importance of “floating life” for the first time. A premiere Julliard string quartet based in New York, The Dolphins Quartet has performed, taught, and collaborated nationwide. The Quartet has won national and international competitions for chamber music performance and has been frequently featured at Lincoln Center. They have joined Project Music Heals Us to launch new educational outreach programs to bring music to underserved communities.
