Sharks we have in our waters of Long Island Sound include the Sand Tiger Shark, Dusky Shark, Smooth Dogfish, Spiny Dogfish, and the Sandbar Shark. Sharks are not particularly interested in humans, and some of the fears we have of them are are based on myths.

Stony Creek Granite and The Statue of Liberty
The base of the Statue of Liberty was built using Stony Creek granite. The granite is also known for being used for the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge, The Smithsonian, and Columbia University.
